Senior Software Engineer | Team Lead | Neustar | 2011-2020

Architected web application solutions utilizing Amazon Web Services(AWS). Admin of cross team company AWS account as well as own team account. Used continuous integration and monitoring tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab-CI, Jenkins, and Prometheus to automate architecture and applications as well as reduce Mean Time To Repair(MTTR). Migrated legacy applications to the cloud using agile, continuous integration, and refactoring to new technologies as needed to support the movement to cloud. Facilitated the SCRUM process as SCRUM master. Promoted continuous delivery model following Kanban methodology. Development lead on several projects and conducted code reviews on those projects. Working on internal, external, and private websites including the Neustar corporate website. Used PHP, Python, Go, Ruby, and front end UI technologies while working closely with colleagues and other teams to produce several new web applications. Also used aforementioned skills to implement, fix, and test numerous bug fixes in a team environment using Git and SVN. Most recently have used all of the above skills to train a new team offshore.

Oversaw the entire life cycle of many hours of courseware content as development lead. Collaborated with Junior Developers, Instructional Designers, Project Managers, and Clients to address their needs with technical solutions. Used HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, Captivate, and Flash to produce courseware, websites, and web applications. Used tools such as Audacity to integrate voice acting into courseware. Was also in charge of 508 and SCORM implementation and testing in several courses and websites. Used and modified Drupal for development of several supporting websites for clients, including template, module, and custom development. Modified existing Java Server Pages’ of proprietary software to add or modify features to meet client needs.
